Hans and Grietje
is a children's opera with which composer Gerard Beljon, lyricist Sophie Kassies, Jeugdtheater Sonnevanck and the Nieuw Ensemble want to introduce children to contemporary music theater in an accessible way. .
Hansel and Gretel is a very important horrific story for children about the basic fears of life. The music expresses the passion and is the carrier of the emotions. Text, play and images add just so much that every child can think of their own Hansel and Gretel with the music.
